Tom Rodriguez Contracted COVID-19 from Work
TOM RODRIGUEZ – The Kapuso actor revealed that he tested positive for COVID-19 from work but he has now recovered.
The COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines has greatly affected the showbiz industry. Nowadays, most tapings are done lock-in and all the cast and crew are required to undergo testing before the shoot.
Also, there are reduced staff and crew in most lock-in tapings so there are cases wherein actors and actresses are the ones fixing themselves for the shoot. However, undeniably, COVID-19 pandemic can never be underestimated as many celebrities still contracted the disease despite the precautions.
Recently, Kapuso actor Tom Rodriguez revealed that he also tested positive for COVID-19. In his recent Instagram post, the My Destiny actor said that he contracted the disease from a shoot for work out of town.

According to Tom, he tested negative in the antigen test but his fiancée, Kapuso actress Carla Abellana, advised him to undergo a PCR test. The actor tested positive and it took him four (4) weeks before he was declared as clinically recovered.
The Kapuso actor had mild symptoms. He had fever, cough, and he experienced tightness of chest but it was “manageable”. He said that he did not loss his sense of taste and smell so he was able to eat and boost his immune system.
Tom Rodriguez expressed that he got his COVID-19 result before he was able to meet his family and Carla Abellana so there’s no way he has infected them when he was positive for the disease. Currently, he is recovered for more than a week already and is under a hotel quarantine now for his next project.
Tom took an antigen test before he checked in to the quarantine hotel and he will be taking a PCR test in the next few days. According to him, when he will be cleared, he will proceed to their final lock-in location. Here’s his Instagram post:
