They were apprehended after a buy-bust operation by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region III (PDEA-3) in Pleasant Hill Subdivision, Barangay San Manuel in the area. Authorities allegedly launched an entrapment operation against the target alias Abdul after receiving information that there were illegal drug operations in the region.
Minors floated to the venue instead of being the target perpetrator. They were saved as well. Abdul ordered the children to bring the suspected illicit drug inside a subdivision during the initial investigation and agreed to pay them.
The boys will be handed over to the Social Welfare Development Officer in the region. Abdul, who is still on the run, will be charged under Republic Act 9165.
