OFW Complains Filthy Quarantine Facility in Isabela to Raffy Tulfo

A disappointed Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) went to veteran journalist Raffy Tulfo over filthy quarantine facility in Isabela.

An OFW named Karen Ann Atuan Ramos approached Raffy Tulfo’s program to express her dissatisfaction with her quarantine facility in San Pablo, Isabela. She described the facility as “dugyot” because of the dirt and the lack of preparation, especially for OFWs who will stay there before returning home to their families.

Their bed can be seen with only chairs joined together in the images sent by Karen in ‘”Idol in Action” program of the veteran journalist. Her mother had given her a mattress to ensure she had a comfortable night’s sleep.

There is also no running water in the classroom, which has been converted into a quarantine facility, so they are unable to clean it. They are also only allowed to bring food from their families, which is supposed to be a ration provided by the local government as part of the quarantine.

When Tulfo spoke with Mayor Antonio “Jojo” Miro Jr., he said that he had not yet visited the quarantined people and that he would go right away. Tulfo immediately recommended that the facility be shut down, as it is clear that anyone who will be put in quarantine will be in poor health.
