Buy-Bust Turned to Encounter Killed a High-value Drug Suspect in Camarines Norte
An alleged high-value target drug suspect was killed in buy-bust operation that turned into encounter with police operatives in Camarines Norte.
After allegedly shooting at police in Daet city, Camarines Norte, on Sunday morning, a so-called high-value drug suspect died. The police conducted a joint entrapment and buy-bust operation against the suspect, according to Police Brig. Gen. Jonnel Estomo, regional director of the Bicol Police.

Based on the report of ABS-CBN News, the police operatives went after alias Dodoy, a notorious drug pusher in Bicol who was labeled armed and dangerous by the cops. In Barangay Gahonon, a police poseur buyer purchased drugs from the suspect.
However, when the defendant realized he was in the middle of a deal with the cops, he reportedly fired his gun, resulting in the shootout. The attacker was shot in the body and sustained bullet wounds that resulted in his death.
The emergency team that arrived on the scene pronounced him dead. At the scene of the encounter, police found weapons, ammunition, and P30,000 worth of suspected drugs purchased by the poseur buyer.
