Honor Play is powered by a 2.36GHz Octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 970 processor while the graphics processing unit (GPU) is Mali-G72 MP12. The device runs on the Android 8.1 (Oreo) upgradable to Android 9.0 (Pie) + EMUI 9.1 operating system. It is packed with 4GB and 6GB of RAM while the internal storage has 64GB.
The rear side of the Honor Play sports a dual-camera that consists of 16-megapixel + 2-megapixel (depth) with features like LED flash, panorama, and HDR. On the front, there’s a 16-megapixel (wide) camera for shooting selfies.
It is powered by a 3750 mAh Li-Po battery (non-removable) + fast charging 18W. It was launched in various colors like Midnight Black, Navy Blue, Violet, Player Edition Red, and Player Edition Black.
Connectivity options on the device include WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS with A-GPS, BDS, GLONASS, NFC, and USB Type-C 2.0. The smartphone’s sensors include fingerprint (rear-mounted), compass, proximity, accelerometer, and gyro.
