Hundreds Of Birds Swarm Chimney, Invade Family Home

BIRDS SWARM CHIMNEY – A regular Wednesday turned into a scene from a horror flick as hundreds of birds dove down a chimney.

A family from California shared the incident online and it quickly became viral. According to them, they went out for dinner last Wednesday. But, when they got home, they discovered hundreds of birds in their home.

Based on an article from Unilad, the birds were lodgers who were migrating and happened to stop over their home. Here’s the footage taken by the family moments after they arrived from dinner.

Reports from Inside edition, there were over 1,500 birds that swarmed the inside of their home. Meanwhile, homeowner Kerri, who lives with her husband and child said they lost count after 800.

After the incident, they immediately contacted local authorities who got them in touch with animal control. But, they simply advised the family to act like Bruno Mars and leave their doors open.

They acted like they wanted to get out, but they [weren’t] going [anywhere]. They were just flying around, just everywhere, every room in the house, every bathroom.“, Kerri said.

So, when the animals refused to get out, that’s when animal control stepped into successfully make a chute that funneled the birds through the home’s back door.

But, despite removing the majority of the birds, almost a week after, Kerri’s home was still inhabited by some stragglers.
