IG Star Jailed For Painting Over Face Mask On Face

IG STAR JAILED – Instead of taking beautiful pictures of Bali, an influencer is facing deportation instead.

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, the importance of basic health protocols cannot be undermined. These include physical distancing and wearing of face mask and face shields.

However, something as simple as this has led to so many issues just because people refuse to protect themselves and others against COVID-19. This happened to influencers Josh Paler Lin and Leia Sin.

According to reports, the two tried to make a prank after they were kicked out of a supermarket due to not wearing a face mask. But, instead of complying, the two went back to their hotel rooms and painted over a mask instead.

Afterward, they tried to go back to the supermarket in an attempt to trick the guard. Apparently, the trick worked at they managed to get into the supermarket.

However, when the authorities were informed about this, the violators were jailed and are now set for deportation. Usually, violators of health protocols face a one million rupiah fine or about $70.

But, police wanted them removed from the island as soon as possible. According to an article from Ladbible, Bali’s civil service police force head Dewa Nyoman Rai Dharmadi said:

It’s only proper to sanction them more severely, not just with a fine but also deportation. They are not only violating, but deliberately provoking in public to defy health guidelines.
