Oil Firms Set to Impose Another Oil Price Hike This Week

Several oil firms are set to implement another price increase for petroleum products on second week straight.

The oil companies in the Philippines announced another price hike for the second consecutive week this month. The vehicle drivers and motorists will be forced to pay an additional cash for petroleum products.

The Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., Seaoil Philippines Inc., Cleanfuel and Petro Gazz would impose the price adjustments. These gas stations would implement the oil price increase on April 27, 2021 (Tuesday).

Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. and Seaoil Philippines Inc. would impose an additional P0.45 per liter of gasoline, P0.35 per liter of diesel and P0.65 per liter of kerosene.

Meanwhile, Cleanfuel and Petro Gazz would impose the same price changes aside from keronese, which they do not carry. Other gasoline stations are expected to make similar changes.

The Department of Energy (DOE) released the latest data as of April 20, 2021 showing the total price adjustments; P7.15 per liter of gasoline, P5.35 per liter of diesel and P4.30 per liter of kerosene.
