Teddy Herbosa Privates Twitter After “Death By Community Pantry” Tweet
COMMUNITY PANTRY – Recently, Teddy Herbosa MD, the special adviser for the National Task Force on COVID-19 Tweeted “Death By Community Pantry”.
But, following the Tweet, Herbosa received massive backlash from netizens. Immediately, the official put his account in private.
Death by “Community Pantry”. I told you so!, he said as he shared a news article from News 5 regarding an elderly man dying in Angel Locsin’s pantry. Afterward, netizens were irked saying Herbosa had no sympathy for the elderly.
One of the comments said:
“He tried to ride the news regarding that poor elderly man who died while standing in line for a share of Angel Locsin’s Community pantry. Without even realizing nor acknowledging that the old man didn’t need to be there Kung inaayos lang ang pragrama laban sa pandemya ng putanginang gobyernong ito.“
On the other hand, supporters of the government took the opportunity to bash angel for trying to help the needy amid the pandemic. On a Facebook comment section, she said:
“You see, Angel? You can’t even manage a small crowd though you have everything galready planned out. Or, “talaga bang planado at pinag isipan yan? parang hindi eh, kasi pumalpak”
For her part, Angel Locsin apologized for what happened. “Ang nangyari po ay akin pong pagkakamali. Sana po’y wag madamay ang ibang community pantries na maganda po ang nangyari.“, she said.
Furthermore, she emphasized that she would now prioritize helping the family of the deceased elderly. Additionally, she said that she would make it her responsibility to help them get through their loss.
