2 Alleged Hold-upper Killed in a Hot Pursuit Operation in Davao City

Davao City police killed two (2) alleged hold-upper after they fought back to police during their hot pursuit operation.

Toril Police killed two men suspected of being involved in the robbery (holdup) during a hot pursuit operation. Julie Ann Panganiban, one of their victims, positively named Napoloeon Butuan and Warren Gayak as the men who allegedly robbed her in Sitio Glabaca, Barangay Lizada in Toril.

Based on the report of ABS-CBN News, Butuan reportedly pulled out a pistol and shot at the police officer after the police tracked down their whereabouts. Gayak, one of his companions, is accused of attacking a police officer with a katana.

However, the two were reportedly shot by operatives. The two were rushed to Davao Mediquest Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

At the crime scene, a katana, a.38 revolver, bullet casings, and some personal items were discovered. The victim’s stolen items, including a cellphone, P720 cash, and identification, were also recovered.
