Pasay City General Hospital Occupancy Rate At 94%, Still Accepting Patients
PASAY CITY GENERAL HOSPITAL – According to Doctor John Victor De Gracia, Pasay City General Hospital has reached 94% occupancy.
During an interview with ABS-CBN, De Gracia stated:
As of today, marami pa ring dinadala sa amin na moderate to critical cases. Our occupancy for our COVID confirmed wards po is 94 percent as of 7 a.m. today
Still, De Gracia emphasized that the hospital is still accepting patients. However, he noted that there are only a few beds available. “Meron pa tayong konting available beds hindi pa tayo 100 percent full“, he said.
Currently, the Pasay City General hospital gives priority to Pasay residents. But, they are also accepting patients from other cities. Meanwhile, around 10-15 percent of patients in the hospital are from outside of Pasay.
As per the interview, De Gracia noted that rescue units are spread across Pasay in case of emergencies. Furthermore, 92% of its health workers have been inoculated with a COVID-19 vaccine.
“Sa mga taga Pasay po, tuloy po tayo sa operations sa Pasay City General Hospital. Minsan po talagang full capacity na but were trying our best to accomodate lahat po”.
Much like Pasay City General Hospital, several other health care facilities within the NCR Plus Bubble announced they are in critical capacity following the surge of COVID-19 cases.
Currently, the Philippines has reported over 800,000 COVID-19 cases. of that number, 704 thousand have recovered. Unfortunately, 15,477 have succumbed to the deadly disease.
