Thief Posted on Social Media Selling Stolen Expensive Bike Resulted to His Arrest
Authorities in Calasiao, Pangasinan, arrested a man accused of thief after he posted on social media selling the stolen expensive bike.
A man was arrested after he posted an expensive bicycle on social media that had been reported stolen in Calasiao, Pangasinan. According to a GMA News article, the suspect was identified as Wilven Punsalan, a resident of Barangay Talibaew.
Punsalan is said to have sold the bike for P20,000. According to Calasiao Police Chief Police Lieutenant Ferdinand de Asis, an undercover cop pretended to a buyer of the bicycle parts that Punsalan had shared on social media.

After the transaction confirmed, Punsalan was apprehended as he decided to meet the said buyer with the authorities. The perpetrator was also reportedly found with three sachets of suspected shabu.
Punsalan denied that he stole the bicycle but admitted that he posted it on social media to sell. The bike has been returned to its rightful owner.
Meanwhile, three (3) men riding stolen e-bike were arrested at the checkpoint in Santa Ana, Manila with the help of barangay officials. The curfew officials on duty accosted the suspects as they were suspicious.
However, the confrontation ended to a chase after the two suddenly ran and rode a tricycle. The Barangay officials pursued the two men until they entered a neighboring barangay, where the suspects were apprehended.
