Curfew Violator Nabbed Over Possession of Illegal Drugs He Bought Using “Ayuda”

Authorities arrested a curfew violator in Quezon City after he was found possessing illegal drugs which he allegedly bought using financial aid (ayuda).

In Quezon City, a man was arrested after breaking the curfew. According to the Unang Balita on Thursday, he was also found with illegal drugs by barangay officials.

According to barangay officials, the suspect paid P1,000 for the illegal drugs called “shabu”. The official went on to say that the man had recently earned P4,000 from the government financial assistance before being caught breaking the city’s curfew.

He was discovered with a P150 worth of shabu when he was arrested. According to the officials, the suspect was identified as Joven Llera.

While he admitted that the satchet of shabu was taken from him, the suspect denied buying the drugs using P1,000 from the aid and gave the remaining P3,000 to his brother.

The man also confessed to being dependent on the drugs. The perpetrator has already been brought to the police custody. Llera will be charged with violating the Comprehensive and Dangerous Drugs Act.
