2 Minors Brought Rice Containing Drugs to an Inmate in Davao City Jail Arrested

Jail officers apprehended two (2) minors in Davao City after they attempted to smuggle illegal drugs to an inmate by embedding in rice.

Two minors are being held in Davao City jail after they were reportedly found with suspected shabu. The illegal drug was found after the two brought a bowl of rice to the Bunawan Police Station for an inmate, according to police.

Minors in Davao City Arrested

Authorities allegedly discovered three sachets of suspected shabu while inspecting the rice. The illicit drugs confiscated were said to be worth around P7,000.

Minors will face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. Meanwhile, a 25-year-old woman was arrested for attempting to smuggle bread containing illegal drugs known as shabu into the same Police Station’s jail in Davao.

The woman was expected to pay a visit to a prisoner who had been sentenced for selling illegal drugs. The woman and the prisoner are said to be good friends, according to the previous article.

When her food was investigated, it was discovered that the bread she was going to send to her prison friend included illegal substances. According to Maj. Noel Villahermosa, chief of the Bunawan Police Station, several drug offenders have been involved in similar activities in the past.
