Man in Ilocos Sur Arrested After He Runs Amok and Yields Illegal Drugs

Authorities arrested a man in Ilocos Sur after he yields two kinds of illegal drugs when he was apprehended due to alarm and scandal.

A 33-year-old man in barangay Abour, Narvacan of this province was arrested after the runs amok and harass a house. Narvacan Police identified the suspect as Arthur Cabe y Peña, a resident of the area.

It was learned that the Narvacan Municipal Police Station received a call about the suspect’s alleged harassment at the house of a Kevin Mark Martinez y Araquel, 28, married, where the suspect was staying.

When the police arrived on the scene, they were greeted by Barangay Captain Florentino Bienabidez, who was also present at the incident The village chief reported the incident and agreed to take the suspect.

It was discovered that the police investigated the suspect before arresting him. A piece of plastic sachet containing suspected shabu weighing 0.8 grams and valued at P2,000, as well as a plastic sachet containing suspected dried marijuana leaves valued at P1,500, were seized from him.

Aside from the “alarms and scandal” and violation of Article 151 of the Revised Penal Code of the Philippines, the suspect is also expected to face charges of violating RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
