Jean Garcia shared something about her mother’s remains
Actress Jean Garcia has discovered something after her mother, who died after testing positive for COVID-19, was cremated.
Jean and her family are mourning as they bid goodbye to their matriarch Sandra Panganiban Garcia. Based on the article in Bandera, the actress shared in an interview that they had to go to 10 hospitals before her mother was admitted.

“Wala naman siyang fever, no cough, no colds, no difficulty in breathing. Wala naman ganu’n si mommy. Humina lang kumain,” Jean shared. That is why they were shocked when her mother tested positive for COVID-19. They had to repeat the test twice and it was still positive.
The family of the actress suspected that their matriarch got the virus from her caregiver who tested positive. Despite the grief, Jean Garcia said that they saw a brighter side from this tragedy.
She said that they discovered that her mother has green bones. “Bago pa mag-end nu’ng cremation, mayroon siyang green bones. So pagbaba ko na, ang daming message galing sa mga Chinese friends ko pati in-explain sa akin ng Arlington na pinagmamalaki nila na may green bones si Mommy,” the actress shared.
Jean said that it is very rare and not all the bodies that were cremated had this. “‘Yung green bones daw ang ibig sabihin nu’ng nabubuhay pa si Mommy napakabuti n’yang tao sa kapwa n’ya. Kaya sa Chinese raw, that’s very rare and very lucky, which is totoo naman,” she added.
For the actress, this is true because she said that her mother had no meanness when she was alive and she even became more prudent when she got older.
With this, Jean said that she hopes when she dies and will be cremated, she will also have green bones. The actress also said that she is proud of her mother because even in her death they still have something that they are proud of.
Jean Garcia reminded everyone to follow the protocols because it is really painful losing a loved one due to the virus.
