2 Drug Pushers Working as Grab Drivers Arrested in a Buy-Bust Operation
Police arrested two (2) pushers of illegal drugs working as Grab drivers during the buy-bust operation conducted in Valenzuela City.
Two Grab drivers yield nearly P3 million worth of illegal drugs (shabu) in a buy-bust operation conducted by the police in Valenzuela City. Police identified the arrested suspects as Richard Nicolas, 42, Grab driver, and Jeffrey Fermin, 38, Grab driver, both residents of Quezon City.
Based on the investigation conducted by PCpl Pamela Joy Catalla, Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) operatives led by PLT Joel Madregalejo conducted a buy-bust operation against the suspects along Gen T. Road, Gen. T De Leon.
PCpl Franciz Cuaresma, who pretended to be a buyer, was able to transact with the suspects P10,000 worth of drugs. According to the report, after the suspects accepted the marked money from the poseur-buyer in exchange for shabu, the operatives immediately arrested Nicolas and Fermin.
The police confiscated 40 grams of suspected shabu valued at P272,000.00, buy-bust money consisting of a real P1,000 bill and 9 pieces of boodle money, P500 pesos, two Realme and Oppo cellphones, a coin purse, 3 assorted IDs, a black sling bag, and a red Toyota Vios with license plate (NDI1843).
Earlier, Valenzuela City Police’s SDEU team 2 first arrested another illegal drug pusher Rubyleen Gonzalez, 36, in the buy-bust operation conducted by the police in the said area. A case of violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 was filed by the police against the suspects at the Valenzuela City Prosecutors Office.
