4 Drug Suspects Killed in a Separated Buy-Bust Operations in Nueva Ecija

Police conducted two separate buy-bust operations in Talavera town, Nueva Ecija, resulting in the deaths of 4 drug suspects.

Alys Ronnie, a resident of Cabanatuan City and still traveling to other towns in Nueva Ecija to push drugs, was the first to startle in the dark part of Barangay Gulod, according to police. The suspect appeared at the meeting on a motorcycle and another man.

He was able to sell P1,000 worth of suspected shabu to the pretended buyer but allegedly pulled out a gun when he sensed the transaction with police. Recovered from his body were 23 packages of suspected shabu and the .45 caliber gun he was carrying.

Ronnie is on the drug watchlist of the Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office and has previously been jailed on drug-related charges. The identity of the man with Ronnie who fled when the encounter happened is still being ascertained.

In Barangay La Torre, three other suspects were killed when they allegedly fought with the police. They were identified as Danilo Botones on the drugs watchlist, and cousins ​​Roland Maniquiz and Leo Angeles. The three are also foreigners from General Tinio.

A .45 caliber and two .38 caliber guns were seized from them which they allegedly used in firing on police officers. A package of suspected shabu sold by the poseur buyer at the target of the operation was also recovered.
