Based on the report of ABS-CBN News, most of those caught were illegal shuttle services for private companies that did not comply with LTFRB requirements for chartered vehicles during quarantine. Upon inspection, the contract of lease and proof of passenger insurance must be presented.
Aside from that, the legitimacy of the company’s personnel and the company’s body markings should be shown. The vehicles were taken to the LTFRB impounding center in Magalang, Pampanga. It will cost P200,000 for the impounded shuttle.
I-ACT said this is part of the return of their anti-colorum operations to the so-called NCR Plus Bubble, in addition to their peek at seating capacity and compliance of public vehicles.
The Department of Transportation (DOTr) also reminded that it has free rides for authorized persons or frontliners outside of a residence on 50 routes including some in the Laguna area.
