Actor Derek Ramsay had an emotional moment with his son Austin and his father-and-son heart-to-heart talk was captured in this video.
Austin is Derek’s son with his former wife Mary Christine Jolly. The teenager son of the actor previously lived in Dubai, UAE. Based on the article in gmanetwork.com, it was in 2014 when Derek first revealed to the public that he has a son. Austin was just 8 years old back then.
Reportedly, in January last year, the legal counsel of the hunk actor commented on his Instagram post that his previous marriage “has long been declared null and void.” Atty. Josabeth “Joji” Alonso also said, “He was confirming the fact that he is no longer married to anyone.”
In a previous interview, Derek Ramsay admitted that his relationship with his son if from being perfect. However, he said that in a throwback post that he will always love his son and hopes what is best for him. The recent post of the actor showing a candid video of him and Austin talking showed that they appeared to be mending what was broken.
There was a point in the video that Derek and Austin hugged each other for a moment and when the actor sat again, apparently he was crying or being emotional.
In the caption of the video he posted, the actor revealed that for the first time, Austin called him “Dad”. Because of this, Derek is very thankful and said that he will always remember that special day.
“He called me Dad!! Thank you Lord for showering me with your love and blessings! @din_g thank you for capturing this moment. I will always remember this special day. I can truly sa my life is perfect now. love you @austinn_ramsay,” the actor wrote in the caption of his post.
This emotional moment that Derek Ramsay had his son Austin came after his much-talked-about wedding proposal to Ellen Adarna.
