Janica Nam says she’s ready to continue again 3 years after she lost Franco Fernandez in a tragic incident.
FRANCO HERNANDEZ – Model Janica Nam Floresca now ready to move forward three years after boyfriend Franco Hernandez died in an accident.
Dancer and a member of It’s Showtime’s all-male dance group called Hashtags is Franco Hernandez who unfortunately died in a drowning accident last 2017 at the age of 26. He was with his girlfriend then model Janica Nam Floresca when it happened. According to her, a huge wave hit their boat, and seawater seeping down their boat forced them to jump out of it. They were stuck amid the sea for a long time which took his life away.

And three years after his death, Janica shared in a video letting go of all the things that stopped her to move forward. She is now moving on and in the video, she explained why it took her three years to finally move on. In an open letter, she looked back at some of her memories with Franco and admitted that there was a time where she hoped for a miracle for Franco to be alive again.
She furthered in her letter for him how painful it was for her to lose him that way. In each time she closes her eyes, all she saw are the flickers of memories with him and what has happened drowning her again with those. And with her, all these years is the thought that if she was only stronger, she could’ve saved him. She doubted her strength and asked how will she be able to happy again when half of her also left with him.
“I’ve always thought that I’d be spending the rest of my life with you. But you spent the rest of your life with me and I’m thankful for that. I’m thankful that I was the last person you loved. Even if it was just for a short amount of time, I knew it was real,” she said.
And all these years she hasn’t moved on, all she had was his love for her because she knew what he wanted is for her to carry on and keep going. And asked why it took her that long to finally have the courage to move forward, she stated in her open letter, “Alam kong maraming nagtataka kung bakit ang tagal ko’ng naging okay. Pero sa totoo lang, hindi mo masusukat ang tagal ng sakit na naiwan sayo.”
Now, she’s finally ready to move on and rediscover herself again. She is finally ready to continue her life and test how far she can go with her capacities. And finally moving to a new chapter of her life, with her is a grateful heart and a love she found when she least expected it. She was content already of being alone but love walked it’s way back to her again.
Capping off her message for him, she wrote, “You don’t have to worry about me, Franco. Okay na ‘ko. I will always be thankful to you for looking after me all these years. I will never forget the memories we’ve made because it was never about our ending, it was about the journey — and I am thankful for the time that was given to us.”
