Food Delivery Driver Killed After Teenager Carjacks Uber Eats
FOOD DELIVERY DRIVER KILLED – A simple Uber Eats driver recently died after two teenagers carjacked his vehicle and crashed it.
According to reports, the Driver Mohammad Anwar was on his way to a delivery when the girls “tased him” to get inside the vehicle. Afterward, Anwar quickly got up and tried to get the girls out of his car.
In the video uploaded on social media, you can here Anwar pleading to the girls and bystanders: “This is my car!”. While this was happening, the engine of the car began to rev. Then the girls can be heard saying “Go! Just Go!”.
Within mere seconds, the girls floored it while Anwar was still hanging on the side of the vehicle for dear life. He managed to enter the vehicle and try to commandeer it from the inside.
However, after a few more seconds, the vehicle had a load and lethal crash. Unfortunately, this ended the life of the Pakistani immigrant who came to the United States back in 2014.
As per the article from TMZ, the ages of the girls were merely 13 and 15 years old. Due to the incident, the girls now face felony murder charges. After the crash, Anwar was left fatally wounded hanging from the front door of the car.
Following the saddening incident, a spokesperson for Uber stated:
“We are devastated by this tragic news and our hearts go out to Mohammad’s family during this difficult time. We’re grateful the suspects have been arrested and thank the Metropolitan Police Department for their diligence with this investigation“
