The ZTE Axon 20 5G Extreme was released on December 22, 2021. The smartphone supports a hybrid dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by).

Axon 20 5G Extreme is powered by the Qualcomm SM7250 Snapdragon 765G Octa-core processor while the graphics processing unit (GPU) is Adreno 620. The device runs on the Android 10 + MiFavor 10.5 operating system.

The smartphone packs 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It comes with a screen size of 6.92 inches OLED capacitive touchscreen display resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels. The phone measures 172.1 x 77.9 x 8 mm and weighs 198 grams.

The rear side of the ZTE Axon 20 5G Extreme features a quad-camera that consists of 64-megapixel (wide) + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) + 2-megapixel (macro) + 2-megapixel (depth). It sports a 32-megapixel (wide) camera on the front for shooting selfies.

Connectivity options on the smartphone include WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS with A-GPS, GALILEO, GLONASS, BDS, NFC, USB OTG, and USB Type-C 3.1. The phone’s sensors include a compass, proximity, accelerometer, gyro, and fingerprint (under display, optical).

It is fueled with a non-removable Li-Ion 4220 mAh battery + fast charging 30W. It was launched in a single color, Sunrise Yellow.
