Man Died In Tapaz Town, Capiz After Getting Hacked To Death By Tanod
TAPAZ TOWN – A man recently died after he was hacked to death by a barangay tanod in the town of Tapaz in Capaz province during the weekend.
The local police added that the victim, identified as Rey Babas Sr., aged 56, had a previous disagreement with the suspect, which could be the motive of the crime, according to a report from ABS-CBN News.
Initial investigations show that Babas was on his way home aboard his motorcycle when the suspect ambushed him and hacked him to death.
The victim was rushed to the nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
The authorities are currently conducting a hot pursuit against the barangay tanod, based on the report.
In a separate killing incident, six robbery gang members were killed in a gun battle against police officers in Pampanga.

The six men were aboard a red Mitsubishi Mirage with the plate number UQG-517 when authorities flagged them down.
The suspects opened fire and shoot at the police, prompting the later to retaliate. They were, however, cornered by the mobile team of the Regional Highway Patrol Unit (RHPU-3) on Calulut Bypass Road.
They were supposed to rob inside a subdivision in San Fernando City when they were slain by cops after the gunfight.
