Filipinos are very resourceful when it comes to things that can be used again after consuming the contents such as food tubs and other recyclable containers. One of the common reusable containers they used is the ice cream tub.
It is the Filipino habit to reuse containers of ice cream. It is durable and good to use for storing food in various sizes. However, it’s not transparent so you can’t immediately see the content.
If you were victimized for expecting ice cream inside the reusable tub, the famous ice cream brand Selecta has now a clever idea. Their reusable tub has now space where you can rename the content after you consumed the ice cream.

A concerned netizen shared the clever idea of Selecta on her social media post. In the Facebook page named “Buhay Zero-Waste,” a netizen named Bebang Soler shares the new packaging and mocks people who have been scammed by the reusable tub.
“Di ko alam if may mga nakapansin na neto. But para sa mga hindi pa… Way to go Selecta Philippines!!! Atleast may pa-label na para walamg gulatan. Walang asado na may ice cream pa kahit tilapia na ang laman,” she wrote in her post.
In the photo, it shows “Wipe out na ang ice cream. Sorry not sorry! This tub now contains _______.” Meanwhile, netizens were amazed by the new idea of the ice cream brand and praise it.
