Sanya Lopez looked back to her ”firsts” in the entertainment industry
Kapuso actress Sanya Lopez shared how the show of the late German Moreno, ‘Walang Tulugan’, helped her career in show business.
Sanya after several years since she started her showbiz career has now landed on a lead role on primetime slot. She will be playing the leading lady of award-winning Gabby Concepcion in the soap opera titled First Yaya.
The said role was initially offered to Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera. However, since she had to prioritize her duty as a mother to her two kids with Dingdong Dantes, she had to turn down the offer because it will require her to be in the lock-in taping.
Fortunately, Sanya got the role and she is thankful for this. In a previous article, the Kapuso star shared that playing the role of a “yaya” is not that difficult for her because, in real life, she took care of her “pamangkins” and her “lola”.
During a recent PEP interview, in line with her new teleserye, Sanya Lopez was asked about her firsts in the entertainment industry.
She shared that her first showbiz engagement is Kuya Germs’ “Walang Tulugan”, a late night variety show. The actress added that during the first time that she went to the show’s studio, it was just to visit her brother Jak Roberto.
Sanya said that one fan thought that she was Kim Rodriguez, who was a guest of the show that day and asked for a photo with her. When Kuya Germs saw her, she was told, “kapatid ka pala ni Jak, bakit di ka nagpakilala sa akin?”
From that, she was given a chance to sing, dance, and do hosting in the show. Sanya also shared that Kuya Germs presented her to the GMA bosses to build up her career.
“Kahit alam ko na hindi ko alam kung may kaya ba akong patunayan dito sa showbiz . Siya ‘yong nagbigay sa akin ng lakas ng loob na ‘kaya mo ‘yan,‘” the actress shared. Because of this, she will always be thankful to Kuya Germs.
