Sanya Lopez says she can really relate to her “First Yaya” role

Kapuso actress Sanya Lopez shared that she experienced being a “yaya” in real life that is why she did not find it difficult to portray her role in the new GMA series “First Yaya”.

Sanya is the new leading lady of award-winning actor Gabby Concepcion in the new primetime Kapuso series. In a recent press conference for this teleserye, based on the article in Bandera, the actress shared that in real life, she also become a “yaya”.

She said that during her elementary days, she was taking care of the babies of her cousins. “Magpapalit ng diaper kung kakayanin, nagpapatulong ako sa mga tita ko pa rin, nagpapakain sa kanila, nagluluto ng mga pwede nilang kainin,” the Kapuso star recalled what she did.

Aside from this, she also took care of her grandmother when she was in high school. “Nu’ng high school ako sa Bulacan, kasama ko doon ‘yung lola ko, ako na ‘yung kasama niya tapos ako lagi nagpe-prepare ng pagkain ni lola, ako naglalaba ng damit ni lola, ako talaga nag-aalaga sa kanya,” Sanya Lopez shared.

She added that she did this things because she loves the person she was taking care of. Sanya said that she did not see what she did as a responsibility.

The actress also shared that she felt the appreciation from her loved ones as she was helping them. This motivated her not to feel tired.

When asked how she incorporated her experience as a “yaya” into her role in the series, she said that she showed her heart as she did in real life.
