According to the report of the Inquirer, the suspect was identified as Jolly Mae Soriano, 21, who later received marked money from the undercover agent who orders her to make a teeth retainer.
Timoteo Rejano, chief of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in Isabela, said Soriano admitted that she did not have a license to be a dentist. Soriano said she admits her mistake and asks for a second chance because her two daughters are still young and there is no one to take care of them.
According to NBI agent Federico Salamero, the authorities launched the entrapment operation after members of the Philippine Dental Association Isabela – Kalinga Chapter complained of Soriano’s illegal activities.
NBI agents seized dental equipment and other equipment used by Soriano. Salamero added that if convicted, Soriano will be jailed for two years and fined P200,000.
