The 11 AM weather update from the state weather bureau on this day says that the weather disturbance is less likely to develop into a tropical depression in the next 48 hours.

The LPA will bring moderate to heavy rains over Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Dinagat Islands, Leyte, and Southern Leyte.

Meanwhile, Light to moderate with at times heavy rains will be experienced over Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, BARMM, Central Visayas, and the rest of Caraga Region, and Eastern Visayas as well as Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate and Catanduanes.

The bureau warned that flooding and rain induced landslides may occur during heavy or prolonged periods of rainfall, especially in the areas identified to be highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards or in localities that received significant amount of rainfall during the past couple of days or weeks.

Adjacent or nearby areas may also face flooding in the absence of rainfall occurrence due to surface runoff or swelling of river channels, based on the report.
