Provincial Health Office, Public Market Under Lockdown After COVID-19 Spread
PROVINCIAL HEALTH OFFICE – Aklan’s Provincial Health Office (PHO), along with its public market were on lockdown due to increased cases of COVID-19.
In a official statement, the PHO announced that they closed their office on March for after five workers tested positive for the virus. However, no date has been specified for its reopening after disinfecting the office.
Along with this, the close contacts of those who tested positive for the virus were also placed under a 14 day quarantine. This included family members and co-workers. Meanwhile, those who are at low-risk and tested negative on the RT-PCR test were already told to return to the work.
Likewise, authorities had also placed the Madalag Public Market under lockdown since Friday after 6 people tested positive for COVID-19. Additionally, the public market would undergo disinfection and would be open to the public come Monday, March 8.
Furthermore, those who tested positive for the virus in Madalag are already being monitored at a COVID-19 quarantine facility.
