The device has the corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The dimension of the smartphone is 163.7 x 76.4 x 7.8 mm and weighs 196 grams.

Xiaomi Redmi K40 Pro sports a triple-camera setup at the back comprising of a 64-megapixel (wide) + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) + 5-megapixel (macro). On the front, there’s a 20-megapixel camera for shooting selfies.

Sensors on the smartphone include fingerprint (side-mounted), gyro, color spectrum, compass, barometer, accelerometer, and proximity. It also features Bluetooth 5.0, GPS with dual-band A-GPS, GALILEO, GLONASS, BDS, QZSS, NacIC, NFC, Infrared port, USB OTG, and USB Type-C 2.0.

The device is powered by a 4520 mAh Li-Po battery (non-removable) + fast charging 33W + power delivery 3.0 + quick charge 3+. It was launched in Aurora, White, and Black colors.
