Assunta de Rossi clarified the post from ABS-CBN

Actress and first-time mom Assunta de Rossi reacted to the post of ABS-CBN about the offer of her sister Alessandra de Rossi to be a surrogate.

Assunta and Alessandra are among celebrity siblings who are very close to each other. They would exchange funny comments at times but their love, sweetness, and concern to each other are obvious.

Alessandra is also as happy as her older sister who is now a mother. During Assunta’s pregnancy, the younger De Rossi has been expressing her love for her niece.

In a recent social media post, Alessandra expressed that she offered to be a surrogate for her older sister. This was shared on the official Twitter account of ABS-CBN News.

Following this, Assunta de Rossi shared her reaction and clarified the matter about surrogacy. She said that although it was a sweet gesture, the statement of her younger sister was a joke.

The older De Rossi also shared three points about surrogacy and one is that it is still not allowed yet in the Philippines. “A surrogate/gestational carrier should have at least 2 kids of her own before carrying another person’s,” she pointed out.

She added that it would be unfair that the first pregnancy of a woman is not actually for her.

When Assunta de Rossi announced her pregnancy with her husband Jules Ledesma, she said that it was their miracle baby. The couple had been waiting for that moment to happen but expected it less due to the medical condition of Assunta. Fortunately, the actress and the first time successfully went through the difficulties of her pregnancy amid the pandemic.
