College Student Earns Praises Online After Making DIY Oven Just to Learn How To Bake
A college student identified as Jovel Bante, Jr. create his own DIY oven toaster just to learn how to bake as a part of distance learning system.
The Facebook page “ABS-CBN News” has shared the photos of a hardworking college student Jovel Bante, Jr. who created an improvised over toaster. The post earns praises from the social media users.
Jovel Bante, Jr. is a second year college student of Holy Cross of Davao College in Davao City taking up BS Hospitality Management. The student has no available oven toaster at home.
The young man has decided to make an improvised over using a can of biscuit, chicken wire, and sand. He created the over so he could perform their laboratory activities and he wants to learn how to bake.
“Naisipan ko po na gumawa na lang ng DIY oven para po makapag-laboratory ako sa major namin,” kwento pa ni Jovel. “Medyo mahirap pero kaya naman, inisip ko na gawin para may magamit ako sa laboratory namin.” Bante said.

Raymond Minoza, Bante’s teacher lauded his student for its determination to learn. He also said that Jovel has a great potential of being a future chef and his determination should serve as an inspiration towards others.
