Rider Escapes Checkpoint By Jumping Off Cliff, Leaving P4.2M Worth Of Drugs

RIDER ESCAPES CHECKPOINT – Police are searching for a motorcycle rider who escaped their checkpoint by jumping off a cliff.

According to a report from ABS-CBN, the incident happened at a checkpoint in Barangay Lucog, Tabuk City, Kalinga on Friday night. Police were patrolling the area when a motorcycle came close to their checkpoint.

However, instead of slowing down, the rider sped up, causing him to lose balance and fall on the road. Afterward, police responded but the rider quickly got up and ran as fast as he could.

As such, police attempted to chase the suspect on foot. But, he escaped the authorities as he jumped off a cliff. But, he still left his motorcycle and a box containing P4.257M worth of illegal drugs.

Based on the report, the box had 33 blokes of suspected marijuana. Furthermore, it weighed about 33 kilos.

Currently, police are still trying to find the individual who fled the checkpoint. This is a developing story.
