Police Officer Kidnapped By 10 Armed Men In Manila Captured On CCTV
POLICE KIDNAPPED IN MANILA – A police officer was kidnapped in broad daylight by at least 10 armed men.
Passerby residents were hesitant to do anything or even walk in the direction of the incident. This was mostly due to fears as the men were heavily armed. In the CCTV footage, you could see pedicab drivers trying to turn away from the incident in fear of getting unnecessarily involved.
Currently, the Manila Police District Station 11 is searching for the kidnapped cop identified as Police Cpl. Allan Hilario. Based on CCTV footage taken on the scene, the armed men forced Hilario into a white van.
Afterward, some of the men went through the items inside his motorcycle. Then, the kidnappers left the scene.
Because of the incident, the MPD, Philippine National Police Security and Protection Group and the Land Transportation Office coordinated to identify the suspects. According to a report from ABS-CBN, the MPD is still figuring out the kidnappers motive.
