Voltes V became a subject of this editorial cartoon
Voltes V: Legacy creative heat Suzette Doctolero slammed cartoonist Pol Medina, Jr. who was behind an editorial cartoon featuring the Kapuso upcoming series.
The cartoonist created a comic strip with the characters of the anime that was released in 1977. “Baka naman imbes na lazer sword e magsampalan at magsabunutan na lang sila,” one of the characters that Medina created said this in the comic strip.
In line with this, based on the article in Bandera, Doctolero fired back. In her Twitter post, the GMA writer slammed Medina.
She also stressed that the cartoonist is discriminating the local soap operas. Then, the writer wrote this: “Pero tignan mo, hanggang ngayon buhay ang soap habang sisinghap singhap na ang cartoons ni Pol (joke! Alangan namang ikaw lang pwedeng mag joke hehe).”
She also questioned what could be the last TV series that he saw as he is still in s”ampalan at sabunutan mode.
Doctolero quipped that there is “tadyakan” now. “Sayang. Wala pa yata (yata ha) ako sa showbiz, sinusubaybayan ko na ang Pugad Babs e. Mukhang misogynist din naman,” the write said.
She added that even though she already spent years in writing, she can still consider herself as a “student”. With this, she is trying the contents that will capture the attention of the masses.
“PS: ang Voltes V ay isinulat rin sa wikang Pilipino. Mga pango tayong lahat at pinoy, kaya hindi namin ito isinulat sa wikang ingles. Naman o,” she stressed.
Based on the articl,e in a previous Twitter post of Doctoleo, said that the Japanese creatore of Voltes V has agreed to the “scripts, karakter na dinagdag, mundo at kulturang pinalawig kasamaang Boazanian language.“
