US Warns Of Ebola After New Cases Were Confirmed Central and West Africa
US WARNS OF EBOLA – Amid the coronavirus pandemic, the United States said the world cannot turn away from another potential outbreak of the deadly Ebola virus.
Recently, new cases of Ebola were confirmed in Guinea and the Democratic Republic of Congo, the first in almost a decade. According to an article from ABS-CBN, five people have succumbed to the disease in Guinea West Africa.
Back in the 2013-2016 Ebola epidemic in the region, 11,300 people died in Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone. Meanwhile, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Central Africa, begun rolling-out Ebola vaccinations after four new cases were detected. Unfortunately, two of the four cases were fatal.

As per the article, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki warned the world that:
Ebola has again emerged, simultaneously, in both Central and West Africa…
The world cannot afford to turn the other way. We must do everything in our power to respond quickly, effectively
Unlike COVID-19, the Ebola virus causes apparent symptoms such as severe fever and in worst cases, unstoppable bleeding. It’s spreads through close contact with bodily fluids. As such, people who live with or care for patients with the virus are most vulnerable.
