Air Supply knows this fact about Filipino singers
Soft rock duo Air Supply shared their thoughts when it comes to the talent of Filipino singers and here’s what Russell Hitchcock and Graham Russell said.
When it comes to singing, the talent of Filipinos is recognized around the world. Several Filipino artists already conquered the international stage while many also captured the attention of music fans abroad.
During a recent virtual media conference even Russel and Graham, who have been recognized internationally because of their hit songs, took notice of the Filipino talents, based on the article in The Philippine Star.
“I think every Filipino can sing better than most people in the world and I’m not being silly. That’s a fact,” Russel, the lead vocalist of the band, shared. He added that Filipinos being louder is a great thing in this field.
Meanwhile, Graham, the songwriter and guitarist of the band, said, “The Filipinos are very emotional people, very passionate. And a lot of them are great singers. There are some great singers. A lot of them are musicians so they respect great songs.”
During the interview, the duo was also asked about the possibility that they will record a Filipino song. Their response to this was that they are looking forward to it.
“Yeah, I mean that would be great. You know, we’ve said for years, we’d love to work with a different artist but nobody ever comes to us and says why don’t you try this? But we’d love to. We’d love to record a Filipino song,” the musician said.
Filipinos have been singing their songs in videoke and various events. One of their popular songs is All Out of Love that was recently covered by Inigo Pascual.
