CHR To Investigate Silay City Police For Quarantine Violator Parade

QUARANTINE VIOLATOR PARADE – The Commission On Human Rights (CHR) said they would investigate police from Silay City for doing a parade featuring alleged quarantine violators.

According to the CHR, they want to hear the side of the Silay City police after they posted a now-deleted video on social media. In the video, you would see a parade of people who were allegedly failed to wear masks.

As such, the CHR reminded police to respect each individual’s personal dignity. Furthermore, they stressed that parading the alleged violators could be considered cruel and inhuman. Additionally, they warned that “degrading treatment and punishment” should be punishable under the Anti-Torture Act.
