Based on an article from ABS-CBN, Navotas City Mayor Toby Tiangco emphasized that the ice plant must pay for the bills of the victims and the hospitalization of those who died.

Yung hospital bill atsaka burial cost ay dapat sagutin ng kompanya because ang aksidente ay nanggaling po sa kompanya

In this case I will not allow the city government to spend a single centavo, so lahat ng nagastos ng city government d’yan kailangan bayaran ng kompanya out of delicadeza kasi nga kamag-anak ko ‘yun

Ammonia is extremely dangerous for humans as it is highly irritating and corrosive. Exposure to high amounts of it in the air may cause immediate burning in your nose, throat, and respiratory tract. Furthermore, it could possibly lead to airway destruction, respiratory issues, and ultimately, death.
