NBA Players Required N95 Face Masks If New Mandate Is Pushed
NBA PLAYERS REQUIRED N95 MASKS – Amid the coronavirus pandemic, the NBA is yet again set to make another mandate within the league.
Outside of the court, the NBA ensures that the players are provided with adequate safety. As such, several mandates have already been made in relation to this.
However, the NBA is set to impose another policy next week. According to ESPN, the NBA plans to require players to wear either an N95 or N94 mask. Furthermore, the league plans to roll-out the policy next week after it finishes distributing the masks to each team.
Last month, the NBA made a policy that active players on the court need to wear masks while on the bench during a game.
During the early days of the pandemic, several players in the NBA were found positive for COVID-19. As such, the league had postponed 23 games so far this season in a bid to protect the players, staff, and crew involved.
Unlike regular surgical face masks, the KN95 and KF94 has an added layer of filtration and are usually reserved for medical professionals. The KF means “Korean Filter”. Meanwhile, the KN is the Chinese counterpart of its N95 series. These types of masks are best amid the pandemic as they capture 94-95 percent of particles in the air.
