Police Nabbed Man in a Buy-bust Operation for Selling Party Drugs

Police arrested a man during a buy-bust operation in Makati City for selling party drugs in some bars allegedly holding party amid pandemic.

During the buy-bust operation, a man was arrested for selling party drugs to people going to bars in Makati City. The operation also resulted in the arrest of those who violated the health protocol.

According to Makati Police Chief Police Col. Harold Depositar, they have been monitoring the suspect who has been imprisoned for drugs for a long time. They launched a buy-bust operation and the suspect took them to a bar in Barangay Poblacion in Makati.

Based on the report of ABS-CBN News, After the transaction, the suspect was immediately arrested. He was found in possession of more than P50,000 worth of kush or high-grade Maryjane.

Some ecstasy tablets were also confiscated from him. According to Makati Police, the target customer of the suspect is rich because kush is expensive compared to ordinary Maryjane.

It is also possible that the suspect was walking around various high-end bars in the city to push drugs. But apart from drugs, the authorities also noticed that the bar was crowded inside and many people were drinking and partying.

It was past midnight so there was also a curfew violation and most did not have a face mask or face shield. According to Barangay Kagawad Conrado Vazquez, many people think that because the quarantine has eased, it is possible to party.

He said the barangay is still patrolling to check the establishments in the area. More than 50 were given tickets including some foreigners. They were not detained but had to pay a P2,000 fine for violating health protocols.
