Residents Found Vintage Bomb In Septic Tank In Palompon, Leyte
VITNAGE BOMB FOUND IN SEPTIC TANK – Residents of a small barangay in Leyte were left in awe after they found a vintage bomb in a septic tank.
On Thursday morning, a supposedly easy task of making a new septic tank was well underway. However, after a while, the workers noticed something buried underneath – a vintage bomb.
As such, local resident Angelo Rufin from Barangay Central II in Palompon, Leyte, immediately called police. Currently, officials from the Palompon Police Explosives Ordinance Division Team of Police Regional Office 8 are coordinating with local officials to properly dispose of the vintage bomb.
Throughout the years, the Philippines has become no stranger to vintage bombs being discovered. Some are even as large as 1000 lbs. However, the one found in the septic tank in Palompon looked to be smaller in size.
In fact, it could even fit in a small plastic bag usually used to buy groceries from the market. Still, extra precaution is needed whenever handling these sorts of items.
Luckily, no one was injured or hurt upon finding this. More updates are to follow regarding what type of explosive this is.
