Quezon 2-Day Police Operations Leaves 215 Suspected Criminals Nabbed

QUEZON – 215 suspected criminals were recently arrested in a series of police operations conducted over the weekend in Quezon province.

Provincial police chief Police Colonel Ericson Dilag, said that in a report that about 84.14 grams of illegal drugs with an estimated Dangerous Drug Board (DDB) value of P592,552 were seized in SEMPO (synchronized enhanced managing police operations) that were conducted between January 23 to 24, according to Inquirer.

The police also seized 32.6 grams of dried drug leaves with an estimated DDB value of P3,912. about 34 drug pushers were also arrested.

They also arrested 42 wanted criminals, among them were seven who belong to the list of most-wanted criminals in the province.

Also arrested were 56 suspected illegal gamblers, 28 illegal fishers, one illegal logger, and one illegal firearm holder. The rest are violators of municipal ordinances.

Seized from the operations were one undocumented firearm, while 19 assorted guns were voluntarily surrendered.

“The swift arrests of criminals minimize the commission of crimes, while the continuous intensified anti-illegal drugs operation will greatly affect the drug supply in Quezon province,”
