Oil Firms Set to Impose Price Changes This Week

OIL PRICE ROLLBLACK – The oil firms in the country were set to implement a rollback following three consecutive weeks of hikes.

On Monday (January 25, 2021), the oil companies in the Philippines announced a rollback in prices of petroleum products. The price reduction has been announced after the consecutive price hike during the past three weeks.

Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. and Seaoil Philippines Inc. would impose a P0.15 rollback per liter of gasoline, P0.10 per liter diesel, and P10 per liter of kerosene. Cleanfuel and Petro Gazz would impose similar adjustment aside from kerosene.

The oil firms would implement the price changes starting 6 am on Tuesday (January 26, 2021). All petroleum companies would implement a rollback at 6 am except for Cleanfuel, which impose changes around 8:01 am.

Meanwhile, the Department of Energy reported that gasoline has increase P2.30 per liter, diesel for P2.30 per liter, and kerosene for P1.60 per liter this year.

The price reduction would surely be a great relief for public utility vehicle drivers and motorists.
