Man Struck, Robbed, And Stabbed By Suspects In Tricycle In Manila
MANILA – A man was recently struck, robbed, and stabbed by unknown assailants aboard a on a tricycle in Manila.
According to a report from GMA News’ Balitambayan, a CCTV footage shows that the victim was on his way home when he was hit by a tricycle at about 3 AM in the morning.
When the victim collapsed at the street, the suspects approached the victim to rob the victim rather than helping him. They further robbed the victim’s bag.
The footage also showed the tug-of-war between the suspects and the victim until the successfully took the bag and slammed it against the victim. One of the suspects pulled out a sharp weapon and stabbed the victim.
As they fled away from the scene, the victim clung on to the tricycle and was dragged by it for a few meters until the suspect stabbed him once more.
Few residents and tanods responded to the incident and gave chase to the suspects, who unfortunately were able to escape.
Based on the report, the victim sustained several injuries on his body and lost two teeth.
One of the suspects was recently arrested during the weekend. He was identified by cops as Harris Hogan, aged 23, a resident of Tondo district. The victim immediately confirmed the suspect’s identity.
The police reported that Hogan admitted that he was the driver of the tricycle that struck the victim. He will be charged for robbery with frustrated homicide.
