Alleged Drug Suspect Slain In Sting Operation In Occidental Mindoro
OCCIDENTAL MINDORO – Operatives from the PNP recently killed a suspected drug pusher in a sting operation in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.
San Jose Municipal Police Chief Lt. Col. Danilo Driz said that the suspected drug pusher, identified as Alfred Mangsat was shot by the police when he attempted to shoot the cops after the latter announced his arrest during the transaction, according to MAnila Bulletin.
The buy-bust was conducted after the cops negotiated with Mangsat for the purchase of illegal drugs. They were set to meet in Barangay Bagong Sikat in San Jose.
The sting operation was conducted at 5:30 AM, but Mangsat reportedly drew his gun and shot at the anti-drug operatives when he was about to be arrested. This resulted in the suspect dying on the spot.
Based on the report, Mangsat was among the about 6,000 alleged drug personalities, who were slain in sting operations throughout the Philippines since July 2016.

The sting operation was done at Kalayaan Avenue, Barangay West Rembo in the city on Tuesday evening. Retrieved from them were P6.1 million worth of drugs.
