RUFA MAE QUINTO – Famous comedian and actress Rufa Mae Quinto in trending memes for 2021 brought good vibes to people online.
Filipina comedienne Ruffa Mae Quinto is among the lauded comediennes in the country. As an artist, she has won several PMPC Star Awards and has starred in top-grossing films such as Apat Dapat, Dapat Apat, Pasukob, Desperadas, Manay Po 2, I.T.A.L.Y. and Desperadas 2.
She is married to financial analyst Trevor Magallanes and currently in United States for it is where her husband is based. And as the country welcomed the new year 2021, one netizen posted a statement copying that of from the comedienne.
It said, “I dedicate 2021 to myself. I hope I like it”. This statement is originally from her acceptance speech receiving the Best Comedy Actress award for her work in the ABS-CBN sitcom Home Sweetie Home in 2018 where she expressed, “I dedicate this to myself. Hope I like it! [referring to the award]”
Recognizing the good vibes the meme featuring her has brought online, she said in an IG post, “Thanks mga ka Twitter , for dedicating this to myself…”
Also, the 2nd time Ruffa has trended online is her edited photo wearing a black toga of Ateneo de Manila University. Her eyeshadow sported the shade of blue which matches the institution’s color. A certain netizen reposted the edited photo with “Rufa Mae, Magna Cum Laude, AB Economics” in the caption that fooled some.
The statement is her commentary on capitalism in Status: Single, a film which was released on 2009.
