Here’s what Joey de Leon expressed about the COVID-19 vaccine brands issue

Henyo Master Joey de Leon shared his view on the COVID-19 vaccine brand issue and this received various reactions from netizens.

As the world is now waiting and anticipating the vaccine to somehow be the solution to the pandemic, the issue regarding the brands of the vaccine had been a hot topic in the Philippines.

In line with this, Joey shared his take on this matter. In his recent Instagram posts, the Eat Bulaga host shared a photo of a banana with the iconic print of the Louis Vuitton brand.

He said that there are those people who see the brands of vaccine like fashion luxury brands. However, he stressed that as long as it is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), this is good to go.

Joey de Leon also cited the statement of Department of Health Undersecretary Dr. Maria Rosario Vergeire regarding this issue.

“Ang importante basta inaprubahan ng Food & Drug Administration (FDA), equal footing o pare-pareho na mga yan, effective at safe! Ang pinakamaayos magpaliwanag tungkol dyan para sa akin ay si Dr. Maria Rosario Vergeire. Basta may FDA approval na, WAG MATAKOT, MAKIBAKUNA!” the Henyo Master wrote.

Then in the comment sections, he wrote that calls his picture post “choosy fruit”.

The veteran showbiz personality reiterated his views regarding the COVID-19 vaccine brands issue as he posted the same photo stressing the statement from the DOH Undersecretary.

“Karapatan nyo rin ang mamili at humindi ngunit higit na buti ang makukuha kaysa wala! Tandaan: Basta aprubado ng FDA, WAG MATAKOT, MAKIBAKUNA!” Joey de Leon said.

These posts of the comedian-host garnered various reactions from netizens. There were those who agreed with what he said while some said that the government should choose the brand that is cheaper but with higher efficacy rate.
