Chiz Escudero Gets Asked If He’ll Run For President In 2022 Elections

Heart Evangelista asked her husband Chiz Escudero about her political plans

Sorsogon Governor Chiz Escudero was asked by his wife Kapuso star Heart Evangelista if he is planning to run for President in the 2022 elections.

Chiz is one of the prominent personalities in the world of politics in the Philippines. In previous years, he served as a Senator for several terms. Now that the presidential election is just around the corner, it is inevitable that people are expressing who they want to lead the country as early as now.

In a survey of Pulse Asia conducted late last year, the number 1 name that surfaced for presidential preference was Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, the daughter of President Rodrigo Duterte.

For the future political plan of Chiz Escudero, Heart Evangelista asked him about this in a recent vlog. “No. I have no plans of doing so,” he said regarding the 2022 elections. When the actress asked why, the Governor said that he has “no money, no resources, not my time, and I am happy where I am.”

He also said that someone should the position before the decision to run will come. “So those who are running who say that they don’t want it, it’s not that accurate. You have to want it before you can actually decide to run, actually run a campaign, and be the president, the governor, congressman, or senator,” Chiz Escudero added.

The politician also shared that he only has three options for the next elections – he will run again for Governor, or he will not run, or he will go for the Senate position.

Then, Chiz joked that another option is just to depend on his wife but the latter contradicted this. “Ayaw mo nu’n, ako ‘yung pang-lima or anim na aso?” the politician quipped. Heart answered, “No, ayoko ng ganu’n. Kailangan, busy ka kasi mape-pressure ako.”

What can you say about this?
